IT’S HOLIDAY TIME ! TIME TO HAVE LOTS OF FUN !

Summer vacations are the most fun time of the year as this is the time when children can explore and learn new and exciting things instead of sitting in front of the television or laptop. It is crucial to plan for more fun, creative and recreational activities for the vacation. It is the job of the parents and teachers, how well we can plan different activities for our children to keep them busy during the holidays.

Here are some of the activities for the children which they can engage themselves in during the summer break.

*Greetings are Funnnnn!

You can make greeting cards with vegetable prints or drawings or paper craft and keep them ready and give to your grandparents, parents, teachers, friends and near and dear ones.

Take some vegetables or fruits like cucumber, tomato, carrot or apple, banana, grapes etc.

Wash them and cut into thin slices and serve them to your grandparents and parents (to be done under parent’s supervision).

Taking care of birdies !!

We feel so thirsty in summer.

Even birds feel so thirsty in summer so keep some water and grains in a bowl in your balcony or backyard for birds to feed.

It’s Family time

Summer is the time that one should make sure you should visit your native place and grandparents. Try to visit or meet your cousins.

*Try to engage the child in any one of the activities that they are interested in during summer vacations like swimming, painting, dancing, singing etc.

It is a suggestion to the parents that the children minimize the time they spend playing games on mobile, iPad etc. and watching television. Involve them in different physical activities like running, walking, hoping, jumping etc. and playing in the park with their friends. They can be engaged with some indoor games like puzzles, clay, building blocks too !

A SHOWCASE OF LEARNING !!

Congratulations to all our budding scientists for an awesome job. Well done!

All little ones of Sherwood Akshar have presented their learning in the Science Fair. We could see the confidence and enthusiasm of the kids in all that they presented.

The tiny tots of PP1 presented exhibits on the theme ‘Colours’ and PP2 presented on the topics Shapes,Animals and Fruits. It was a joy to see the children take care of the props and the presentation . The exhibition proved to be a great learning experience for the little ‘explorers’.

Kindergarten minds are curious about everything just like scientists! They are keen observers !The earlier we start with them the better.

We would like to convey our sincere thanks to the ever supportive Parents and Grandparents to join hands with us to help the children in making props and creating the right environment to showcase the talents of the Pre Primary kiddos inside the four walls of their house during such uncertain times caused due to the pandemic situation.
