“A Memorable Day with my pet”

img

On 1st April 2021 my uncle got this cute little rabbit after a talk with my dad regarding buying a rabbit. I was studying when I heard my parents talking about the pets I quickly went up tomy dad and mom and requested them to bring them homet. My mom was refusing to do buy but my dad and I were excited to get them as soon as possible.

The day the rabbits came to my house they were scared because they were new to the place and I was also scared to touch them. As the days were passed, the rabbits got habitated living in my house.

However, I was still afraid to play with them and hold them in my hands. One day I gathered all my courage and started playing with them without any fear and started holding them. I had a really great time with them. One of the rabbits was afraid of people and he also seemed very angry so I decided to be more careful about spending time with that rabbit,

One fine day, after nearly eight monthsthe rabbit came near me and started licking my hands. He came and sat on my lap and it was a precious moment of my life and one memorable day ever in my life..

I would like to share a picture of my rabbits!!

Unconditional love for Pets

When it comes to pets we all cannot resist Huskies, German Shepherds, etc.

There are these two pet lovers whom we can find on the internet – they were unwilling to leave the war-hit Ukraine without their four-legged friends inspite of facing such a tough time there.

The first person’s name and his pet companion’s name is: Rishabh Kaushik and Malibu.

When Rishabh Kaushik found out that he cannot take his pet (Malibu) without a NOC (No Objection Certificate) he struggled a lot to get clearance and health certificates for his pet for several days. But after several days he landed safely in Delhi with his companion Malibu.

Here is Arya and her pet Saira.

Arya also struggled and was also in a similar situation as Rishabh. She was intercepted by Ukrainian soldiers for travelling with her companion Saira, but she was given full authority to take Saira later.

Arya was lauded Arya for her strong-willed efforts with a facebook post that read “It is born out of love and I am sure the world will benefit from such love.”

RESPONSIBILITIES TO OWN A DOG

“A man’s best friend”, A dog. It is not an easy title to acquire. They acquired it by being our faithful friends from almost the beginning of the human race.

I too have a pet dog, she is a ‘Dachshund’ and she is definitely proving that she is my best friend. If you are wondering what a ‘Dachshund’ is, here is a picture.

But it is not easy to maintain a dog, you need to spend a lot of time on them.

Here is how I maintain my dog.

Hygiene

- I groom my dog every day so that there wouldn’t be any hair fall in my house.

- I even clean her with water and dog soap every once a week.

- I give her a proper amount of food like pedigree and after each meal I take her for a walk.

Exercise

- I take her on a walk for at least 2 km in the evenings.

- I play with her for almost an hour every day apart from taking it on a walk.

- I even give her a proper amount of rest such that she doesn’t over do anything.

This is how I spend time on my dog. If you want to buy a dog please ensure that you have enough time to spend on them.

World Earth Day

img

World Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April every year. The significance of this day is to support the environment and protect it. The World Earth Day for the very first time was held in 1970. In 1990, Denis Hayes, the original national coordinator in 1970, took it international and organized events in 141 nations.

More than a billion people celebrate this day to protect our planet from pollution and deforestation. This year marks the 51st anniversary of Earth day.

As a student we can contribute to this day by:

1. Following the three R’s - Reduce ,Reuse and Recycle

2. Know the importance of segregating household waste and dumping them separately into the green and blue dustbins.

Green dustbin is for the organic and biodegradable wastes such as banana peel, fruit, seeds, paper etc.

Blue dustbin is only for plastic and non biodegradable ones such as plastic, water bottles, polythene covers etc.

3. Do not turn on the tap unnecessarily.

4. Do not turn off the lights when not in use.

5. Carry home made paper bags for shopping.

6. Prefer bicycles to travel short distances, apart from reducing pollution it also serves to be a good exercise for the body.

7. Plant a tree - It helps us to give oxygen, clean the air and combat climate change.

8. Let us not throw plastic bags into ponds, lakes, soil and rivers as it takes millions of years to decompose.

How can we bring the sparrows back to our balconies and window sills..

World Sparrow day is celebrated on 20th March every year throughout the world. The main aim of celebrating this day is to raise public awareness about the diminishing population of sparrows across the world.

Sparrows were considered as symbols of "LOVE". Usually most of us have a childhood memory of waking up by a sparrow chirping. The small birds would be all over our windows early in the morning. But nowadays these sparrows started vanishing and instead of them wifi cables and many other wires take place near our windows.

Nowadays the current generation is so much surrounded by technology that made them forget about sparrows. Sadly the sparrows are disappearing from earth. One reason for the reduction in their number is the mobile radiation.Polluted air also adds up to their disappearing. If we reduce using mobiles and computers and plant trees around, we may get those sweet memories of sparrows back.
