The ceaseless urge to seek and explore the various prospects and advancements in the field of education and technology is what keeps us teachers to forge ahead in our profession. The vision of our director Mr YKG to move parallel with the emerging trends and novelty in teaching learning system has lead to conducting of numerous seminars, field trips, excursion etc for teachers aiding them in their professional growth. Each of these takes through the many dimensions of our own respective subject allowing us to closely analyse and understand as how can be quintessentially put to use in our task of deriving the best from our students. It caters us to incomparable learning experiences which we try to incorporate in our teaching strategies and gift our children with joyous learning period in the school. The esteemed Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum in the garden city of India has always been a go to destination for teachers of Sherwood and Heritage as it is a storehouse of fascinating models illustrated in the most user friendly way.

A recent trip of Science and Math teachers to the Bangalore museum was altogether exiting and widened our horizons. It paved way to comprehending the applications of the basic fundamentals in Science in the most sensible manner. Spending a whole day in the prestigious construction built in the memory of the most applauded engineer the country has ever seen, scanning curiously through each model ranging from the giant machines to the minute chips under the guidance of our beloved Sir, it gave us a clear insight of how these basic concepts can be delivered in the class where children learn with their peers exploring the models.

Like any outdoor trips in Sherwood and Heritage, the purpose of our visit gets fulfilled only when we take cues from the place of visit, and incorporate the essential elements we have imbibed from our visit in our respective tasks or professions. We too have gathered invaluable lessons from our trip to the museum and are steadily focussed on our mission to provide exiting learning experience to our children.
