Review on the Manga series - Haikyuu

img

This is a story based on a small boy whose name is Hinata who wants to become a volleyball player despite his height. Even though he is small, he has fast reflexes and a great jumping ability. He plays his first match against Kageyama also known as “ King of the court” for his skill and his anger. When it was match point for Kageyama’s team he saw Hinata’s fast reflexes, his aim and mainly his incredible jumping ability. They were enemies from that moment. After one year they met each other in Karasuno High School. This school was a famous school which had an incredible player known as the Little Giant. His height is 150 cm but his jumping ability is awesome. He can jump higher than the net. The school qualified in national volleyball matches. When it was the last match, Team Karasuno lost. But when Kageyama understood that he should let go of his anger, he became friends with Hinata and they also became rivals. When they played their first match against the seniors, Kageyama told Hinata to give his fast reflexes, close his eyes and give his highest jump.

When he tossed the ball to Hinata, he followed what Kageyama told. He gave his fast reflexes, closed his eyes and gave his highest jump. When he spiked the ball onto the ground, nobody could ever receive it. When the senior team captain - Daichi told that Hinata closed his eyes, they were shocked beyond belief. Even Kageyama did not know they could make it. From that time they played more and more matches and finally made it to the nationals. This series has inspired me to “Never give up if you are short or have a bad temper, jump high to reach your goal”. Hope you enjoy this review on Haikyuu.

Dussehra

Dussehra is celebrated to mark the victory of Lord Rama over the ten-headed demon Ravana. Lord Rama fought the ten-headed demon Ravana for more than nine days. The tenth day is Dussehra, celebrated as the victory of good over the evil.Dussehra is a Sanskrit word that means "The sun will not Rise," There is a mythological belief that the sun would not have risen had Rama not defeated Ravana. On Dussehra, the statue of Ravana is burnt. The Ravana statue is loaded with crackers so that when they light the arrow and hurl at Ravana's figure, the statue will enkindle fast. But I suggest we should not fill the sculpture with crackers as it leads to pollution and the animals are also harmed.

All about river pollution

FACTS & STATISTICS:

River/water pollution in India is a major environmental issue and according to sources, The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) identified 351+ polluted rivers in India…. Maharashtra has the highest amount of polluted rivers (53 to be exact!).

What are the effects of river pollution?
Well, as mentioned before plastic kills the plant life and that kills animals, it contaminates the food chain and spreads disease.

What causes river pollution?
The main reasons are industrial waste, social and religious practices that include throwing religious items in water in the name of visarjan(not just ganesh or devi idols), bathing, throwing waste in water and oil leaks from trash.

FACTS!

1. The River Yamuna is considered to be the most polluted river in the world.

2. River Ganges is on the list of top ten most polluted waters.

SOLUTION: What you should do:

1. Don't throw waste in rivers

2. Don't bathe in rivers

3. Don't urinate/defecate in rivers or in public spaces.

INTERESTING SOLUTIONS, TIPS AND TRICKS WE AS CHILDREN CAN DO

1. Make home for street animals with the plastic waste.

I got this idea from a video.

HERE they take plastic bottles, fill them with plastic bags collected from the neighbouring societies and use them as bricks called plastic bricks, for tiny little houses for street dogs in order to protect them from the summer heat and rains.

Tips

1. Don't bring in random things that are going to be thrown away

2. Don't use plastic and paper straws. Instead, use acrylic or steel straws

3. Don't use plastic or aluminum wraps for food or leftovers, instead you can use sustainable and reusable food wraps

4. Don't use plastic toothbrushes. Instead, use bamboo toothbrushes.

5. Reduce the amount of paper you bring into your home.

WE THE STUDENTS:

As students we can make teams or social clubs and collaborate with green houses around our vicinity. Collaborate with factories that can help us recycle and learn different ways to learn to recycle different grade materials. Like …

1. Are you someone who can talk to people and make a club that can communicate to the people and educate them about cleanliness? This is important because in our country the problem of people living in poverty is very big. So it is important to educate them on this topic.

2. Then are you a DOER? Well then make a club of those who are like you and want to search for problems and apply solutions.

3. What about if you hold the mind of an Innovator???If yes then make a club to innovate new solutions that doers can apply.

4. And are you a planner? Then make a club that can help make this process of swachh bharat effective with the right channels and collaborate with the community around.

5. A study way can be designed from higher grades where the science students can help innovation to recycle garbage in different ways. This way we the younger children can learn new concepts and the higher grades can show new science applications according to the different subjects like physics, chemistry and biology. It will be a fun way to get us all together to do something better for our nation.

It's teamwork and what's better than us to make it happen!! Finally it is our future in this nation and on this planet.

Nature is the best teacher

img

Our forests, rivers, oceans and soil provide us with the food we eat, air we breathe, water we irrigate our crops with. We also rely on them for numerous other goods and services. We depend on nature for our health, happiness and prosperity. Nature, in the broadcast sense, is the natural, physical, material world or universe."Nature" can refer to the phenomena of the physical world and also to life in general…Within the various uses of the world today,"nature" often refers to geology and wildlife. Nature is beauty and beauty is Nature… Setting Sun, starry night, silvery light of the Moon, snow covered mountains, deep and dark forests, scent and fragrance of the flowers are some of the beauties of Nature. The chirping of birds has a music of its own.You can take your work outside, meditate outdoors, tend a garden, have a picnic or just relax outdoors instead of inside. Even when you are inside you can get some of the benefits of going outdoors by working or doing daily tasks near natural light from a window or skylight. The world is beautiful, we need to learn to appreciate it.
